Raleigh to go after parking ticket violators

December 21, 2011 2:45:08 PM PST
The City of Raleigh is going after people who haven't paid their parking tickets. In some cases, it will mean taking state income tax refunds.

Letters began going out this week to people who haven't paid their fines. Currently, about 16,000 have not paid up, leaving the city $1 million short.

People with a ticket that's worth more than $50 and more than six months old could face the loss of their state income tax refund.
