Joe Mazur Blog: St. Patrick's Day in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio

The Hoyas, of course, operate a version of the Princeton offense.  That being said, they do score some points, only averaging four less than the Pack.  It's their defense that's impressive.  G-Town holds its opponents to 59 percent.  It's a very difficult style to prepare for in just 40-some hours.  Having played Princeton and Boston College earlier in the season could help a little bit but as Lorenzo Brown pointed out, those teams "aren't very good." Gotta love the honesty there!

There is still some scuttlebutt about those that were critical of NCSU's celebration on selection Sunday.  Coach Gottfried pointed out that whoever said it clearly "hasn't been there before." One other note, C.J. Williams, who twisted his ankle, was icing it today after practice to alleviate any swelling.  He should be good to go for tomorrow.
