The fire started around 10 a.m. at 687 N. Allen Road.

The police officer responded to the scene along with Rolesville and Wake Forest fire departments.
According to officials, the officer suffered smoke inhalation and was taken to WakeMed as a precaution. The officer's name and condition have not been released. No other injuries were reported.
Crews were able to put the fire out quickly, but details surrounding the blaze have also not been released.
