12-year-old hit by car near Garner

GARNER, NC (WTVD) -- The North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating after a 12-year-old was hit by a car in the 8000 block of Old Stage Rd. south of Garner and north of Ten-Ten Road.

Deputies blocked off the road while troopers did their work at the accident scene. The road reopened around 8 p.m.

Investigators said the girl's injuries were not life threatening.
