Bridge gives out under semi-truck on Highway 145 during Florence flooding

CHESTERFIELD, SC -- A truck driver had a close call in South Carolina as flooding from Florence continues to plague the East Coast.

The Highway 145 bridge gave out under the truck, just north of Chesterfield.

Blacktop appears to have crumbled into chunks with the force of the rushing water.

The sheriff says the driver is OK.

The road is closed to traffic indefinitely.
