Alcohol, speed factors in fatal Johnston County wreck

FOUR OAKS, N.C. (WTVD) -- One man is dead after being ejected from an SUV that flipped over when it went off the road in Johnston County.

According to state troopers, it happened on Juniper Church Road in Four Oaks. The SUV lost control on a curve, flipping and ejecting the three men.

No one was wearing a seatbelt, according to authorities.

Troopers have identified the man killed as 30-year-old Paul Woodall. The other two men in the car were TJ Toole and Andy Pilkington.

Troopers said alcohol and speed were factors in the crash. No citations have been issued due to the conditions of the surviving victims.

The driver, 23-year-old Pilkington, is in critical condition. Toole, 25, was taken to the ICU. Both are at WakeMed.

Charges are pending, troopers said.
