Durham teen hospitalized after shooting

DURHAM, North Carolina (WTVD) -- A Durham teenager was hospitalized on Thursday night after he was shot in the torso, police said.

It happened at the Meriwether Place Apartments in the 4000 block of Meriwether Drive.

The 17-year-old was conscious and alert with what were considered minor injuries.

There is no suspect information.

The shooting remains under investigation.
