Kweilyn Murphy - Meteorologist at ABC11 WTVD
A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Kweilyn Murphy is a member of the First Alert Weather team.

Kweilyn began her TV career at WQED Multimedia, where she worked with the likes of Mister Rogers and helped to produce several national Doo Wop television productions and station events. Her weather career consists of stops in her hometown of Pittsburgh, PA, Greenville, NC, and in her second home-New Orleans, LA.

Kweilyn holds a Broadcast Journalism degree from Ohio University, with a specialization in English and Children's Television. She is an award-winning meteorologist and obtained her Certificate of Meteorology from Mississippi State University.

During her off time, Kweilyn makes frequent visits with her family members, most of whom are still in the Pittsburgh area. She loves to dance, has a passion for fitness, and enjoys tutoring children in reading and teaching public speaking/communications and professional development to high school students. She is a member of the National Weather Association, the National Association of Black Journalists, and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
