Board members to vote on final reassignment

WAKE COUNTY

On Tuesday, the board is expected to vote on their final reassignment plan for next school year.

Last week they removed close to 400 students from the list, still about 6,500 will be switching schools.

School board members say the reassignment is necessary to fill three new schools, ease overcrowding in others and to create diversity.

Latest plan changes can be found on the school boards' Web site: http://www.wcpss.net/news/2008_jan30_sa-work-session/
