Remembering Raleigh's historic fire

RALEIGH

It happened at Pine Knolls Townes just off Capital Boulevard. In all - 30 townhomes were destroyed.

Investigators think a cigarette in pine straw were to blame.

Raleigh's building code was changed as a result of the fire.
