A tree fell on the mall's power source about 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
It took crews until about 4:30 p.m. to cut the tree.
Northgate is being told it will be about 8 or 9 p.m. before power can be restored, therefore the mall is closed.
However, the 'Shops at Northgate' are open -- that's where the cafeteria and Randy's Pizza are located along with some other stores. They do have power.
