Dozens displaced after apartment fire

RALEIGH

The blaze could be seen through the roof of an Concord Apartments' unit on Knockerbocker Parkway, off of Duraleigh Road.

The fire is believed to have started as a brush fire.

A resident said he saw the blaze start in some brush then suddenly saw a ball of fire came from the second floor. He went on to say several people came running out of the complex.

The building housed 12 units, causing 29 people to be displaced. The Red Cross is assisting the residents.

No one was injured and all of the building's tenants are accounted for.
