Bowling's attorneys want a change of venue because of extensive media coverage that they claim will prevent their client from getting a fair trial in Nash County.

ROCKY MOUNT Mark Bowling is charged with first degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder. On December 8, 2006, police say Bowling's mistress, Rose Vincent, shot Julie Bowling at their home. Vincent pleaded guilty last month. She's expected to testify against Bowling.
