Stressful spa experience

CARY

Marcy Bullock's husband gave his wife and two daughters each an $85 gift certificate for /*Tranquility Sun and Spa*/.

Marcy tells /*Troubleshooter*/ Diane Wilson, "I got the gift certificates in December and they were good for a year." But she says when she tried to schedule an appointment she was told they would not be able to use them.

Marcy was baffled because it was clearly clearly stated on the certificates that they were good for one year. Marcy adds, "I called back again and they said well we're the new owner and we're not honoring any gift certificates and I said, 'Well, I paid $255 and what do I do?'"

Marcy says they told her to call the /*Better Business Bureau*/ but instead she called Troubleshooter Diane Wilson.

Troubleshooter Diane Wilson called Tranquility Sun and Spa and Marcy got a call within hours.

She tells Troubleshooter Diane Wilson, "He said, 'Marcy I'm so sorry this happened. We want to give you your gift certificates and another one.'"

Instead Marcy just wanted her money back and got a full refund of $255. She adds, "I'm happy that I'm done with it, but I don't think I should have been treated that way."

The rep who handled Marcy's complaint told Troubleshooter Diane Wilson he's the former owner but is now taking the spa back over.

He apologized and said he just learned of her complaint because the woman who bought the spa from him stopped paying the bills, including the lease, so now he's stepping back in.
