Flipped tanker re-routes traffic

A woman driver died on Old Highway 87 at Old Wilmington road after a tanker flipped over around 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Officials are not releasing whether the woman died as a result of an accident or if she had a medical emergency.

About 1,000 gallons of ethanol leaked out of the tanker. It took crews a couple of hours to put the rest of the fuel onto another tanker.

Authorities had to re-route traffic.
