It happened happened on Creedmoor Road, just north of Highway 98, closing a portion of Creedmoor.
The Highway Patrol said a tractor-trailer collided with a Mini Cooper, which is one of the smallest vehicles on the market. The 55 year-old man driving the Mini Cooper died at the scene, the driver of the tractor-trailer sustained minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
