Lingham was originally charged with misdemeanor child abuse. However, due to the numerous marks observed, and the fact that the victim was struck in his groin causing extreme pain, charged have been upgraded to child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury.
Lingham remains in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond.
