'Interstate Bandits' rob Raleigh bank

RALEIGH

The men entered the First Citizens Bank at 4801 Capital Boulevard, leaped over the counter and grabbed money out of the cash drawers.

Although there were no injuries, several people were shoved during the robbery. According to investigators, the men are becoming more violent in each robbery.

The suspects are wanted in four states in connection with eight other bank robberies dating back to May 8 of this year.

The robberies occurred along interstate highways in Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee and Alabama. Four were in North Carolina, including Huntersville, Cary, Concord and Raleigh.

Authorities also believe a woman may be involved in the crimes. She may scope out the location before the men make their move.
