Satchell's car ran off road when he over corrected, causing him to run into a ditch, strike a power pole and two trees, and then over turn. He was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the car.
The accident happened at around 12:50 a.m. and troopers say alcohol was involved. No other injuries were reported.
According to his profile on a well-known networking site, he attended Wake Forest Rolesville High School and was a student at East Carolina University.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
