It happened Wednesday night on Trailwood Drive. That's of Highway 301. Meredith was taken to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill where he died Friday morning.
Jones is described as six feet two inches tall and weighs approximately 185 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and has some teeth missing. He also has sores covering most of his body.
Deputies have issued warrants for first-degree murder, armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill.
