Family wakes to car in home

RALEIGH The loud noise that woke them up was a car hitting the side of their house around 3 a.m.

It happened on Valley Stream Drive.

Something caused the driver lose control, plow over a fire hydrant, knock over some trees, and slam into the home.

Luckily, no one was hurt.
