All the shootings happened on August 30, 2006.
Castillo's public defender says he's been getting treatment for mental issues for the past two years, and has entered some motions dealing with his competency.
The judge was expected to set a trial date Thursday, but has now put that off until he's dealt with the new motions. The next hearing date is set for February 18.
