It happened Wednesday afternoon near the intersection of Gillespie St. and Owen Dr.
The Honda motorcycle struck the Chevrolet Tahoe. The driver of the motorcycle, Kenneth Smith of Hope Mills, was thrown from the bike.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
It is not known if Wilson will face charges.
