Police arrest one suspect in ATM murder

Second suspect remains at large
LUMBERTON Police say they arrested and charged a man Wednesday with the murder of a ATM customer that happened earlier this week.

Charles Rozier, 46, was found inside his pickup truck at Brandon's Quick Check on east Fifth Street around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.

James Douglas Quiller, 22, is charged with first-degree murder, attempted robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

According to the Lumberton Police Department, Quiller and another man opened the victim's truck door and argued with him. Then one of the men shot Rozier.

Surveillance video from the ATM at the store shows two men approach Rozier in his truck and rob and shoot him.

Detectives say they believe Rozier used the ATM just before his death. They have not said how much money he took out.

Quiller is being held without bail. He is also charged with attempted murder after a shooting that was repeated Tuesday.

Bail for that charge is set at $500,000.

Anyone who can help with the investigation should call Lumberton Police Department at (910) 671-3845.
