Durham police seek 'Curtain Bandit'

DURHAM Investigators say the robber walked in completely covered with a gold, green and burgundy paisley or floral print curtain or sheet wrapped around his head and upper body. He used a safety pin to fasten the curtain over the lower part of his face.

He handed a teller a note demanding money and implied that he had a weapon.

After getting an undisclosed amount of money, the robber put it in a brown shoulder bag and took off. He was last seen running toward the woods near the State Employees Credit Union.

The robber is described as a dark-complected black male, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall and 180 pounds. Under the curtain, he was also wearing a black T-shirt, black pants, reading glasses, and black shoes.
