Four arrested in robbery, police chase

RALEIGH The incident began Thursday in Clayton with an armed robbery call at the Alta Mobile Home Park on S. Lombard Street.

Law enforcement officers pursued the SUV all the way into Raleigh where the driver jumped out in the area of the Walnut Terrace apartment community on Lee Street.

The three passengers in the SUV were quickly arrested.

The driver took off on foot and appeared to run into an apartment building. Police later found him on Branch Street and took him into custody.

The Wake County Sheriff's Office charged the driver, Travis Lee Ferguson, with several felonies including assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, speeding to elude and numerous traffic violations.

According to information released by the Clayton Police Department Friday, they arrested four suspects in connection with the armed robbery and the chase.

Ferguson is being held under $400,000 bond. Tony Daniels and Reginald Sutton are being held under $100,000 bond. A fourth suspect, who is 15, is in custody at a facility for juveniles.

Charges from the Raleigh Police Department are still pending.
