Wilson Police Officers found 26-year-old Charlie Junior Jordan near US 301 north of Wilson suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Wil-Med Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Around 6:30 a.m., investigators arrested 26-year-old Juanita Nicole Foye and charged her with Jordan's death and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.
She was placed in the Wilson County Jail under no bond.
Police say Jordan and Foye were acquaintances, but a motive for the shooting has not been determined.
Authorities are not releasing any other information until the investigation is complete.
