According to published reports, Lundeby asked a judge to reconsider releasing him. The 16-year-old told the judge he needs dental work and education that he can only get outside the youth detention center where he has been since March.
Prosecutors said Lundeby made threats at UNC Chapel Hill and several other universities.
Officials said the threat against UNC caused a big commotion in February.
