Two Camp Lejeune Marines killed

AFGHANISTAN Officials said 25-year-old Pittsburgh native Sergeant Ryan H. Lane died Thursday in the Helmand Province.

Another Camp Lejeune Marine, originally from Massachusetts, was also killed Thursday.

Officials said 21-year-old Corporal Nicholas Xiarhos died in southern Afghanistan. He was an automatic weapon gunner for his battalion.

Further information surrounding the men's deaths are not being released at this time.

July has been the deadliest month for U.S. and international forces since they invaded Afghanistan eight years ago. As of July 15, 45 men had been killed.
