Woman accused of Amber Alert hoax

JOHNSTON COUNTY Authorities say Rosnah Hassan Thomason called 911 in May 2008. She told operators someone took her son, Siraj Davenport, at a Smithfield area flea market.

However, according to new court documents, the boy is not named Siraj and he's not her son.

Investigators say the child is her nephew. They also claim the boy was not in the country when Thomason called 911.

FBI agents talked to Thomason's brother a day after the 911 call. He says his sister refused to return the boy after a visit and that he only got the child back after threatening to call police.

Thomason now faces federal charges for filing a false report.
