He allegedly committed the crimes on Saturday inside the Health Complex on Health Park Drive, between Six Forks and Lead Mine roads.
According to Raleigh Public Information Officer Jim Sughrue, it was a stranger attack situation. He was not employed there and had no known connection to the address.
Police say they collected evidence from Alexander and charged him with the crime.
He has been placed under a $5 million bond in the Wake County jail.
