Jobs coming with Garmin Triangle facility

“We are excited to expand our resources through the opening of a wireless technology center in the Raleigh-Durham area,” said Cliff Pemble, Garmin’s president and COO. In light of the growth opportunities for wireless products, we believe that this expansion is a critical step in expanding our ability to launch new wireless devices to markets around the world.”

Garmin said it will initially hire up to 40 associates who are experienced engineers in wireless development, wireless software, and handset certification.

Garmin was founded in 1989 and is the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of satellite navigation. The company’s corporate headquarters is based in Olathe, Kansas and more than 8,500 employees worldwide.
