A trooper was able to immobilize the car, but the suspect jumped out of the vehicle and ran into a Distinctively Yours, a beauty salon on Ward Boulevard, which had customers and workers still inside.
Troopers say the suspect pushed in a ceiling tile and hid in the false ceiling. Workers and customers were able to escape without injury and told officials where the suspect was located.
Authorities found and arrested Bernard Terrance Javar Blue, 31, who was wanted on murder charges in Rocky Mount. He is being held in the Wilson County Jail.
Blue is charged with speeding, failing to stop for a stop sign, driving with a revoked license and numerous other traffic violations.
