David James Kerr, 39, an electrician who works for the New York-based dance troupe, was arrested Sunday after an alleged incident Sunday at the Carolina Inn. The Alvin Ailey group performed at UNC's Memorial Hall Saturday evening.
Kerr was being held in the Orange County Jail on $70,000 bond. A court appearance was set for Thursday.
UNC police said the rape victim was not a student.
