Nash Co. teen killed in crash

ROCKY MOUNT State Highway Patrol troopers say Michael Dee Turner Jr., 17, of Elm City was headed north on Old Carriage Road just west of Rocky Mount, around 7:15 Saturday morning.

That's when they say Turner Jr. disregarded a stop sign, and collided with a vehicle at the intersection of West Mount Drive and Old Carriage Road.

The other driver was not hurt.

It is not clear yet if any charges will be filed.
