Fayetteville investigators say officers were called to Santa Fe Drive, just past the All-American Freeway, around 11:45 p.m.
They say it appears a Ford Explorer was traveling west on Santa Fe Drive towards Yadkin Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree. The driver was ejected and killed.
Police said investigation is ongoing and the driver's identity will be released pending positive identification and next of kin notification.
