Mathew Walter allegedly used a video camera disguised as a pen to make the recording at his home at 1504 Collegeview Ave.
He's charged with felony secret peeping.
Police say the victim spotted the device, took it, and alerted authorities.
A judge told Walter Monday he's facing up to 15 months in jail if he's found guilty.
Students who spoke with ABC11 Monday say they aren't surprised by the accusation. They say more high-tech devices make it more likely this kind of thing will happen.
"You have more of these opportunities to be exploited. And so you do have to be more aware," offered NC State student Amber Duckett.Classifieds | Report A Typo |
