Mary Easley grievance dismissed

RALEIGH The grievance, filed a little more than 10 months ago, was dismissed due to procedural issues. Officials say Easley failed to respond to the university's request to schedule a pre-hearing meeting and the grievance hearing itself.

Easley filed the grievance after she was ousted from her job at NC State following controversy involving her husband, former governor Mike Easley.

Notification of the dismissal was sent to Easley last Friday and the university received notification that she has received that notice.

The university says because this is a personnel matter, they have no further comment.
