A family member discovered 80-year-old James "Tom" Cooper in his Kenly home on Crumply Road Tuesday evening
Authorities released autopsy results Thursday. Detectives say they are working diligently to identify and arrest whoever is responsible.
The SBI and the Johnston County District Attorney's Office are assisting in the investigation.
