Detectives searching for alleged rape suspect

CUMBERLAND COUNTY Investigators says the victim was asleep in a bedroom of her home on Rustic Trail when she was awakened by a stranger standing over her at around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday.

The suspect is described as weighing approximately 250 pounds and is between 5' 9" to 6' tall. He was last seen wearing a black ski mask, black hoodie-type sweatshirt, black jeans and gloves.

Patrols have been stepped up in the area and residents are being advised to report any suspicious activity or persons in their neighborhood.
