Zaquavia Kingsberry was found shot to death inside a friend's apartment located in Atlanta's Buckhead neighborhood on July 14.
Police say she may have walked in on a burglary and the crime was likely motivated by money.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the person who lived in the apartment told police cash was taken from a computer desk.
Police say they are looking for Steven Smith. They say Smith was the only person in the apartment the day of the shooting who investigators have not interviewed and he has ignored attempts by the police to contact him.
Kingsberry worked at the Urban Ministries of Wake County and was the mother of a 15- and 4-year-old.
