Clayton Police search for Dairy Queen thieves

CLAYTON

Two men snuck into a Dairy Queen on U.S. 70 Business in Clayton and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the restaurant.

Witnesses say one of the men acted as if he had a gun.

While no customers were in the store at the time, four employees were present. Witnesses say the suspects fled the store by foot through the rear door.

Police say no one was injured.

Officers were called to the restaurant at about 10:15 p.m. Sunday and searched the area, but did not locate the suspects.

The men were wearing black T-shirts and black pants.

One suspect, who may have carried a gun during the robbery, is described as five feet six inches to five feet nine inches tall and approximately 150 to 165 lbs. He was wearing a tan baseball cap and possibly had a stocking on his face.

The other suspect is taller, possibly up to about six feet tall, and 170 to 180 lbs. He wore a red and tan knit cap with some kind of face covering.

Clayton Crime Stoppers is also offering a cash reward for information that leads to the arrest of those responsible.
