Authorities: Cary residents be on alert

CARY Police say a person is posing as a utility company contractor in order to steal from homeowners.

Investigators say the latest incident happened on Sunday in the 3100 block of Kildaire Farm Road south of Penny Road.

Details about the incident have not been released.

However, authorities are warning residents to ask utility workers for ID and call Cary police.
