Raleigh police are looking for a man who they say robbed a SunTrust bank Wednesday and has probably robbed other banks prior to that one.

Wednesday's robbery happened around 5:30 p.m. at the SunTrust inside the Kroger store at 8345 Creedmoor Rd.

The suspect is described as a man in his 30s to 40s, who is about 5'8" tall with a stocky build, dark complexion and a beard and a mustache.

The man passed a note to a teller, took an undisclosed amount of money and then walked from the store. He was wearing a dark blue, plaid shirt, blue jeans, white tennis shoes, a black hat and large-framed sunglasses.

Police believe the suspect may be responsible for similar robberies Tuesday, Sept. 28 in Durham and Sunday, Sept. 26 in Raleigh.

Tuesday's robbery happened just before 10 a.m. at the SunTrust on North Roxboro Rd. in Durham. The suspect handed a note to a teller, took money and fled on food.

And on Sunday, the same suspect is believed to have robbed the Wood Forest bank located inside the Wal-Mart at 10500 Glenwood Ave.

Police did not say how many robberies they think the suspect may have committed.
