Barbara McMillan of 6811 Pin Oak Lane was charged with solicitation to commit a felony Wednesday.
Fayetteville police say a 31-year-old man told them McMillan tried to pay him to kill her husband.
McMillan was in the Cumberland County Jail without bond. Further details weren't available.
