The body of Clarence Jamel Blossom, 24, of Raleigh was found in the backyard of a home in the 200 block Colleton Road shortly before 10 a.m. Friday, after receiving reports of an unresponsive person.
Neighbors told investigators they heard shots Thursday night.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on what might have happened to call police.
