Shooting leaves one dead in Sanford

SANFORD, N.C. It happened at a home on Mahogony Court, off Pendergrass Drive in the Westfield Subdivision.

Police say one person was shot and killed.

They had the neighborhood entrance blocked off while they investigated.

Officials aren't releasing further information at this time, including the identities of the victim and shooter.
