Police say they believe Jenrette's death was the result of an argument. His body was sent to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Chapel Hill on Monday for an autopsy.
A person of interested in the case, 36-year old Marcus Harris, turned himself into Cumberland County Sheriff's homicide detectives Monday evening. Harris has been charged with possession of firearm by felon.
Further details about the incident have not been released.
