High speed chase ends in crash

A high-speed chase involving troopers ended in a crash on I-95 in Nash County early Monday morning.

Authorities said the chase reached speeds of 90 miles per hour.

The chase began inside Halifax County. It ended with a crash in Nash County just before 1:00 a.m.

Troopers used "stop sticks" to try to puncture the car's tires.

The car crashed soon afterward.

Troopers have not yet confirmed if there were any injuries.

There is also no word yet on why they were chasing the vehicle.
