New K-9 helps catch suspect

HALIFAX COUNTY

Deputy Jason Keeter and his K-9 “Brody” were called to Highway 561 in the Hollister community for a breaking and entering call on Saturday. A resident told deputies he saw two men stealing car rims from his property.

After tracking a suspect three-quarters of a mile from the scene of the crime, Deputy Keeter and “Brody” found him hiding in the woods.

Gregory O’Neal Bowden, 24, of Littleton, was arrested and charged with larceny. Bowden was given a $500 bond and has a court date set for Wednesday.

Deputies say the second person may have left the scene in a vehicle. They are still looking for that person.
